Light
Description
Master warning light
A buzzer sounds and the warning light comes on and flashes to indicate that the master warning system has detected a malfunction.
In some model, the buzzer sounds and warning light flashes.
Brake system warning light
Indicates that:
• Low brake fluid; or
• The brake system is malfunctioning.
* Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place and contact your Toyota dealer Continuing to drive the vehicle may be dangerous.
Charging system warning light
Indicates a malfunction in the vehicle’s charging system
* Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place and contact your Toyota dealer
Low engine oil pressure warning light
Indicates the engine oil pressure is too low
The warning light may come on if the engine oil pressure is too low.
* Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place and contact your Toyota dealer Continuing to drive the vehicle may be dangerous.
Low engine oil level warning light
Indicates that engine oil level is low
* Check the level of engine oil and add more oil if necessary.
Engine oil change reminder light
Indicates that the engine oil should be change
* Have the engine oil and oil filter checked and/or changed by any authorized Toyota dealer
Malfunction indicator lamp
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The electronic engine control system; or
• The electronic throttle control system; or
• The electronic continuously variable transmission; or
• Boost pressure in the turbocharger is abnormal (if equipped); or
• Malfunction in DPF system (if equipped)
* Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer immediately.
SRS warning light
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The SRS airbag system; or
• The seat belt pretension system.
* Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer immediately.
ABS warning light
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The ABS; or
• The brake assist system.
* Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer immediately.
VSC OFF indicator lights
Indicates that the system is turned OFF.
* While the vehicle is rest and hold the VSC OFF button to turn ON the system
Slip indicator light
If the light comes ON, it indicates a malfunction in the VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) system or TRAC (Traction Control) system or hill-start assist control system.
* Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer immediately.
The light will flash when the VSC or the TRAC is operating.
For-Wheel drive indicator light (for 4WD models)
If the light flashes, it indicates the system is malfunctioning. Please the owner’s manual how to use 4WD.
If the light flushes again,Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer immediately.
Low fuel level warning light
Indicates that remaining fuel is low
* Refuel the vehicle.
Electric power steering system warning light (warning buzzer)
Indicates a malfunction in the EPS (Electric Power Steering) system
* Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer immediately.
Driver’s and front passenger’s seat belt reminder light (warning buzzer)
Warns the driver and/or front passenger to fasten their seat belts.
* Fasten the seat belt.
If the front passenger seat is occupied, the front passenger’s seat belt also needs to be fastened to make the warning light (warning buzzer) off.
Front passenger’s seat belt reminder light (warning buzzer)
Warns the front passenger to fasten his/her seat belt
* Fasten the seat belt.
Rear passengers’ seat belt reminder lights (warning buzzer)
Warn the rear passengers to fasten their seat belts
* Fasten the seat belt.
Tire pressure warning light
When the light comes on:
* Adjust the tire inflation pressure to the specified level. Then the light will turn off after a few minutes. In case the light does not turn off even if the tire inflation pressure is adjusted, have the system checked by your Toyota dealer.
When the light comes on after blinking for 1 minute
* Have the system checked by your Toyota dealer.
High engine coolant temperature warning light in Red color (warning buzzer)
Indicates that the engine coolant temperature is too high
* Refer your vehicles owner’s manual orHave the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer immediately.
Brake Override System warning light
When the light comes on: Indicates that the accelerator and brake pedals are being depressed simultaneously, and the Brake Override System is operating.
* Release the accelerator pedal and depress the brake pedal.
When the light flushes
* Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer immediately.
Open door warning light (warning buzzer)
Indicates that a door is not fully closed
* Check that all the doors are closed.
Automatic headlight leveling system warning light
Indicates a malfunction in the automatic headlight leveling system
* Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer immediately.
Fuel system warning light
If the light flashes, the amount of accumulated water in the fuel filter has reached the specified level.
* Draining the water in the fuel filter
If the light comes on, the fuel filter need to be replaced.
* Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer immediately.
DPF system warning light
Indicates:
• Vehicles without DPF system switch: The amount of accumulated deposit in the DPF catalytic converter has reached the specified level if the light comes on. Regenerate the filter.
* By driving continuously (for example, at around 60 km/h for approximately 20 minutes). The DPF warning light will extinguish when regeneration is complete. However, if this driving cannot be carried out, or if the light does not extinguish even after driving, have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Toyota dealer.
• Vehicles with DPF system switch
* Regenerate the filter with the DPF system switch if the light turns on or flashes.
Timing belt replacement warning light
Indicates that the timing belt should be replaced
